Recycled aggregates to asphalt mixtures of the flexible pavements
Kropáč, Pavel ; Zdřálek, Petr (referee) ; Stehlík, Dušan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the theoretical part of the creation, distribution and recycling of construction and demolition waste. Subsequently covers made from these recycled construction and demolition waste and its potential application in structural layers of the pavement. In the practical part of the thesis deals with monitoring the overall properties of nine asphalt mixtures with different proportion of recycled concrete aggregate and asphalt binder, which are designed and intended for bed asphalt pavement. The recycled concrete aggregate and asphalt are performed various laboratory tests, the results are subjected to a comparison with the relevant standards and TP 210. The conclusion is made price comparisons of asphalt mixtures.
Asphalt concrete for very thin layers
Kubánek, Ondřej ; Frýbort, David (referee) ; Hýzl, Petr (advisor)
The aim of bachelor thesis is to gain experience with the design mixtures of asphalt concrete for very thin layers. Familiarizing with the properties of these mixtures, as porosity, water resistance and resistance to permanent deformation. Comparing detected parameters with the requirements of standard EN 13108-2 and its National Annex.
Development of structural concrete with power plant ash
Ťažký, Martin ; Sokol, Pavel (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
Worldwide production of concrete is increasing, what has a negative environmental load of cement production. That is due to effort in building construction, also concrete production, greater use of the secondary raw materials. Fly ash is the most commonly used secondary raw material. His used has a very good impact on the economy and ecology of production and positively affects on the properties of concrete in both the fresh and hardened state. The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to improve its use in concrete, using a minimum void fraction of dry mix cement-fly ash.
Double Layer Porous Asphalt with Aspahlt-rubber Binder
Klimeš, Petr ; Hegr, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kudrna, Jan (advisor)
The possibilities of double layer porous asphalt usage and rules for design of porous asphalt mixtures are introduced in this work. The porous asphalt mixtures PA 8, PA 11 and PA 16 are designed with different content of asphalt-rubber according to Marshall Test method. The water sensitivity, drainability, particle loss of these PA are determined. The permanent deformation and drainability of double layer PA 8 and PA 11 were also determined. The possibility of usage of this double layer porous asphalt with expected decreasing of traffic noise was proved.
Evaluation of Selected Properties of Asphalt Mixtures with High Air Void Content
Jakub, Tomáš ; Dašek, Ondřej (referee) ; Šperka, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on selected properties of asphalt mixtures with higher air-voids content. The first, theoretical part of the work deals with summary of the available literature. Especially in terms of the distribution of mixtures with higher air-voids content and basic effects of air-voids content behavior of the asphalt mixtures. The second, parctical part of the work deals with determinine properties of two asphalt mixtures, namely: porous asphalt (PA 8) and mastix asphalt with higher air-voids content (SMA NH 8). At first is described used test‘s methods and used materials. Within the work, some tests were modified in order to simulate the effect of frost and salt on asphalt mixtures. An integral part of the practical part is the determintation of water resistence (ITSR), frost and salt of the prepared mixture, their mutual comparison and comparison with existing regulations.
Proposition of conception of using micro-additions for High Performance Concrete
Lédl, Matěj ; Hela, Vlastimil (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
The modern, contemporarily used cement composite types make use of various additives. This diploma thesis is focused on designs of mortars that have been enriched with micro and nano additives, which lead to higher mechanical strength through optimized grading of mortar mixes. This thesis also evaluates the influence of material properties on resulting properties of mortars in fresh and hardened state.
Optimizing the composition of micro concrete admixtures.
Juříková, Denisa ; Křížová, Klára (referee) ; Hela, Rudolf (advisor)
The aim of this paper is to summarize knowledges related to the use of fine-grained admixtures in cement composites. By utilizing of these admixtures it is possible to achieve extreme properties, especially high strenght and durability of concrete. These properties can be achieved by optimizing the density of the binder and filler in range of 0 to 0,25 mm. Therefore, large part of thesis is focused on admixtures and its effect on concrete. The experimental part of the thesis deals with optimization od selected admixtures in combination with cement to achieve the minimum of the voids and their compressive strenght were determined at 1, 3, 7, 28 and 60 days.
Low noise pavement surfaces
Zítka, Patrik ; Dašek, Ondřej (referee) ; Hýzl, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis focuses on the use of low-noise road surfaces, due to a constant increase of traffic noise nowadays. Within this work different types of roadways are analyzed and their advantages and disadvantages are shown. Additionally, the basic measuring methods of the traffic noise are described and summarized. Finally the procedures and results of the measurements on noise emissions on low-noise surface VIAPHONE® are discussed.
Transport and thermophysical data for thermic sanitation calculation of agricultural seeds
Vávra, Dan ; Brummer, Vladimír (referee) ; Juřena, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis focuses on properties that are important for thermal sanitation. Commonly used seed treatment methods are summarized in the theoretical part. Furthermore, seeds‘ transport and thermo–physical properties are written out and described. To the present day, the properties of wheat seeds have been determined, while there are fewer publications for pea seeds. The available properties were determined by research for wheat and pea seeds. Furthermore, the experimental procedures for obtaining wheat properties were verified and then the procedures were applied to pea seeds. In the experiments, values were obtained for porosity, bulk density, true density, static angle of repose and specific heat capacity for certain humidity. The results are written out with total measurement uncertainties. The values of properties were discussed.
